Phin cà phê tráng qua với nước sôi, cho cà phê nguyên chất vào phin, lắc qua rồi ép nhẹ. Tiếp theo cho nước sôi đủ dùng vào phin. Chờ cà phê tiết ra nước đủ dùng.

Cho sữa tươi, đường vào 1 cốc nhựa hoặc inox, dùng máy xay cầm tay hoặc dụng cụ đánh trứng, đánh bông thành bọt mịn. Cốc sứ cho vào lò vi sóng làm nóng, sau đó trút cà phê và hỗn hợp sữa tươi vào, nhẹ nhàng để tách cà phê có màu nâu vàng, tạo thành 2 lớp hòa quyện vào nhau.
