Ngâm đậu xanh không vỏ trong nước khoảng 1 giờ cho mềm. Cho đậu xanh vào nồi hoặc xửng hấp, hấp chín. Dùng muỗng tán nhuyễn đậu xanh.
Thêm 50gr đường trắng vào đậu xanh, trộn đều, vo thành từng viên tròn, nhỏ. Nếu không thích ăn ngọt, bạn có thể thay thế đường trắng bằng muối.
Cho bột mì, bột nếp, men nở, 100gr đường trắng vào tô. Đổ từ từ nước vào, trộn đều, dùng tay nhào hỗn hợp bột thật kỹ đến khi bột mềm, mịn.
Gấc bổ làm đôi, dùng muỗng múc lấy thịt gấc, bỏ hạt. Cho thịt gấc dầm đều với 1/2 chén nước, lấy phần nước, bỏ bã. Cho nước gấc vào hỗn hợp bột, trộn đều, tiếp tục nhào kỹ.
Chia bột thành từng viên tròn nhỏ cỡ quả bóng bàn hoặc nhỏ hơn một chút.
Cán mỏng bột, cho một ít nhân đậu xanh vào giữa. Nặn các mép bột bên ngoài vào như hình. Cho bánh vào xửng hấp, hấp chín.
