Dùng dao tách bông cải xanh thành từng miếng vừa ăn, rửa sạch với nước. Tỏi bóc vỏ, cắt nhỏ. Đun nóng một ít dầu ô liu trong chảo, cho tỏi vào phi thơm.

Trong một cái chảo khác, cho bồn cải xanh vào xào với ít dầu ô liu. Đậy nấp đun nhỏ lửa cho bông cải chín. Cuối cùng thêm tỏi phi và tương tương vào đảo đều cho ngấm gia vị rồi tắt bếp.
